There are a growing variety of reports throughout the web of Google Advertisements accounts managers threatening to contact customers directly, despite not being allowed to.
According to the reports, firms who don’t react to e-mails from Google Advertisements account supervisors are being met with dangers from Google representatives to contact clients directly.
In some cases, the Google Advertisements account managers call clients and tell them to drop their companies.
There are two things to explain here:
- Agencies are not needed to speak to Google representatives
- At no point ought to a Google Advertisements account manager call a company’s client
A Google Ads associate telling customers to fire their firm crosses the line.
However, these reports are ending up being more regular.
Matt Janaway, CEO of Marketing Labs, shared his experience on LinkedIn today:

support our marketers and firm partners.” Screenshot from: linkedin.com/posts/mattjanaway, November 2022. Janaway isn’t alone in his experience. Throughout October, reports circulated on Reddit of Google associates engaging in comparable practices. One Reddit user published a screenshot of an email gotten by a Google Ads Account
Strategist, which reads: “I am composing to you one last time as a courtesy, since my sincere objective is to supply you
value and innovative techniques with google advertisements and deal with you carefully, to assist you save time and make your clients more successful with google advertisements, thus I am calling you for the last time to notify you that if I do not reach you, I will presume that you are not getting my emails and will call the customers that I have been appointed directly.”Another Reddit user has nearly the same story, saying they
have actually been “bugged”with everyday e-mails from a Google Advertisements representative to get on a call and implement project modifications. Once again, agencies aren’t obligated to consult with Google reps or implement modifications clients aren’t asking for. Need to you receive an e-mail like the one above, the best thing to do is send a problem by means of
Google’s main kind. Be careful of these aggressive sales tactics. As long as you’re not breaking any policies, Google has no say over
how you run your clients’campaigns. Featured Image: FGC/Best SMM Panel
